Almost ten years after the creation of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), its Transitional Phase started, having a gradual transference of the responsibilities, until then carried out by MINUSTAH, to the Hatitian Government. As a consequence, kinetic operations aimed at maintaining a secure and stable environment, carried out by the military component, decreased slowly.
