Rio de Janeiro (RJ) - On 29 March, the course on Supporting Humanitarian Actions in Response to Emergencies and Disasters (SHARED) started out. It is delivered by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs - OCHA, in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. The Section of Civil-Military Coordination of OCHA, its Latin American Regional Office and CCOPAB, which hosted the classes, were in charge of the organization. The training program of the UN-CMCoord is to provide annual courses to comply with the needs of the regional training centers for peace operations. This is the first SHARED course hosted in Latin America.
